Tortillas: Tortillas is another common food in Panama, but different from other countries. Typically items are then placed on top of the tortilla to make a meal. It is common to uses eggs, cheese, beans, or anything else tasty to make a good morning meal.

Sancocho: If you are looking for a typical dish, Sancocho could be it. Found everywhere in Panama Sancocho is a type of chicken soup. Depending on who is cooking it other ingrediants in the soup can vary.

Panama has a rich tradition in the cooking related arts, Due to its location the country is home to a great or major group of fresh and tasty fruits, herbs and vegetables. Combine this with influences from the Native Indians, Europeans and other Latin American countries and you have some great food in Panama!

Called it the Balboa

Panama uses the same currency as we do.. the Dollar.

This is because of the Pamana Canal/American influence.

Gas is more than here.. I think it was by the liter some one knew was just there in May on vacation and she said that it was about 3$ per liter, imagine what the price is now.

On MIAMI, November 20, 2007

The news said Panama is again the most globalized country in Latin America and Brazil the least, according to the third annual Latin American globalization index from Latin Business Chronicle. Panama has Latin America's highest exports and imports as a percent of GDP (73.4 percent and 71.1 percent, respectively). It also has Latin America's third-highest tourism receipts as a percentage of GDP, so I thought that pretty interesting to know.
